Making a difference
The Ankeny Klothing Exchange ( T A K E ) is a non-profit organization that operates a store, offering free gently used clothing, shoes, linens, household goods, & more to community members in need.
TAKE was founded in 1992 by a small group of volunteers with a vision to provide clothing to people in need in our community. TAKE was the first occupant of the Neveln Center, operating there for nearly 30 years as a safe and welcoming space for individuals and families seeking assistance. In 2020, TAKE volunteers formalized the organization as a 5o1(c)(3). In May 2024, TAKE relocated to a new home at 105 East 1st St, Ankeny, Iowa 50021.
